Terms and conditions

This applies when you book an appointment with Offshore Medicals. Short and with no small print.

Who we are

Offshore Medicals is run by Esbjerg Offshore Medicals I/S, CVR 68792215, Smørpøtvej 9, 6705 Esbjerg Ø, Denmark. Phone +45 70 60 33 38, email booking@offshoremedicals.dk.

Booking

You book online or by phone. You receive a confirmation by email. The booking is binding once you have received the confirmation.

Prices

All prices are in Danish kroner. Medicals include 25% VAT, and vaccinations are VAT-exempt. You pay the price shown when you book. The price of the seafarer medical certificate follows the Danish Maritime Authority rate.

Payment

If you pay yourself, you pay on the day and take the receipt with you.

If your employer pays, enter the company name and any PO or requisition number when booking. We then send the invoice directly to the company. We can also invoice via EAN. The payment deadline is shown on the invoice.

Cancellation and no-shows

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your appointment. Call +45 70 60 33 38 or email booking@offshoremedicals.dk.

If you do not show up, or cancel later than 24 hours before, we may charge for the reserved time.

The examination and the certificate

The doctor assesses your health against the requirements that apply to the certificate. The certificate is issued when the requirements are met. The doctor may set a shorter validity or a restriction, and we will explain this to you on the day.

The price covers the examination. It is also payable if the certificate cannot be issued or is issued with a restriction.

Right of withdrawal

The Danish Consumer Contracts Act does not apply to health services provided by health professionals, so there is no 14-day right of withdrawal. You can always cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before.

Personal data

We use your information to book your appointment, examine you, issue the certificate and send the invoice.

Information about your health is recorded in your medical record, which we keep for at least 10 years as required by Danish rules. We only share information with your consent or when the rules require it, for example reporting to the Danish Maritime Authority or the Danish Working Environment Authority.

For booking we use Terapeut Booking (EasyPractice), which processes the information on our behalf.

You have the right to see and correct your information. You can complain about how we handle your data to the Danish Data Protection Agency at datatilsynet.dk.

This website sets no cookies. The booking system may set the cookies needed for the booking to work.

We count visits and clicks on Book and Call with Burst Statistics. This is done without cookies, and your IP address is not stored. The figures stay on the website’s own server and cannot be used to recognise you.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied, please contact us first, and we will find a solution.

Complaints about the medical treatment, including certificates, can be submitted digitally to the Danish Patient Complaints Board at stpk.dk no later than 2 years after you became aware of the matter.
