Many operators and staffing agencies still write OGUK in their requirements, even though the certificate has been called OEUK for years. You do not need to order two different things.
OGUK and OEUK are the same certificate. The industry body Oil & Gas UK changed its name to Offshore Energies UK, and the certificate followed. If you need an OGUK, what you order is an OEUK Medical.
The name change reflects that the industry is no longer only oil and gas, but also offshore wind and other offshore energy.
You do not need to correct anyone. If your paperwork says OGUK, order an OEUK Medical and it will be accepted.
The certificate can only be issued by a doctor registered with Offshore Energies UK. Helle Wibe has been an OEUK-approved doctor since 2006. See the full process on the OEUK Medical page.
