Health certificate for members of the Emergency Response Team on an installation. Requires a valid OEUK Medical.
If you are part of the Emergency Response Team on an installation, you must be able to wear breathing apparatus and work in smoke and heat. The role is known as smoke diver, and in Danish as røgdykker. That places higher demands on heart, lungs and fitness than an ordinary offshore medical.
The certificate is an addition to your OEUK Medical, not a replacement. You need a valid OEUK Medical first, and the two can be taken in one visit.
We make sure your OEUK Medical is valid, or carry it out at the same time.
Particular focus on airways, heart and previous illness.
Thorough examination focused on circulation and lung function.
Assessed against the stricter limits for breathing apparatus wearers.
Overall assessment of whether you can work with breathing apparatus.
The result is reviewed with you, and the certificate is usually issued on the spot.
Driving licence or passport.
Your valid certificate, if you have it.
A list of your regular medication.
Previous certificates, if you have them.
Smoke diver is røykdykker in Norwegian, and you will see the certificate referred to as røykdykkersertifikat. For work on the Norwegian shelf you are subject to the Norwegian health requirements. That does not necessarily mean a Norwegian health certificate. The County Governor of Rogaland states that British and Dutch health certificates are accepted for offshore work in Norway.
